By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Tolu produces personalised AI-illustrated storybooks (digital PDF and optional printed editions) and offers an optional Story Club subscription that delivers new books on a recurring basis.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the right to provide the child profile information you submit (e.g. you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or have permission from one).

Keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@tolu.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

You agree not to:

• Submit names, photos or descriptions of real third parties without their (or their guardian's) permission.
• Generate offensive, hateful, sexual, violent, or otherwise illegal content.
• Attempt to extract, copy or reverse-engineer our prompts, models, or templates.
• Resell, redistribute or commercially exploit books generated by Tolu.
• Abuse the service through automation, scraping, or load attacks.

We may decline to generate content that violates these rules and refund the affected order.

All prices are denominated in EUR. Visitors may see a converted display price for convenience, but Stripe charges in EUR. Limited-time discounts (for example, the Digital PDF at €9.99 instead of €14.99) may end at any time without notice. Subscriptions auto-renew at the displayed price until cancelled.

The Digital PDF (€9.99) is covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee. Printed books are custom-made and non-refundable, but defective copies are replaced free of charge. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Full details on the refund policy page.

Stories and illustrations are produced by AI models. While we work hard to keep the main character consistent and the story age-appropriate, AI output is inherently variable and may occasionally contain unexpected elements. We do not guarantee perfect physical likeness or that any particular detail will appear exactly as described.

You receive a personal, non-commercial licence to read, print, and gift the books generated for you. You may not resell or redistribute them. The Tolu name, logo, brand, prompt system, templates, and underlying technology remain Tolu's intellectual property.

By submitting child profile data, photos and descriptions, you grant Tolu the limited rights necessary to process that data in order to fulfil your order (generate, render, print, ship and email your book). We do not use your inputs for any other purpose.

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tolu's total liability to you for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your statutory refund rights and the dispute-resolution provisions of these terms survive.

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated by email to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect.

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. EU consumers retain all mandatory statutory rights under the law of their country of residence.
